Fewer calls asking for the same certificate

VaxCheck keeps a pet's vaccination record in one place the owner controls, so their groomer, daycare and boarding facility check it there instead of calling you for copies. You may hear from us in two ways.

Three steps: an email listing the entries a business holds; a page where each entry is ticked or unticked and confirmed; and the result, which reads “confirmed by your clinic” in the clinic's own name wherever the record appears.

When a pet-care business or an owner has a record that names your clinic as the issuer, they can ask you to confirm it. You get one email with the entries — vaccine, date given, due date, lot number — and a link. The page shows the same entries with a tick beside each. Untick anything that does not match, add a note if you like, press Confirm. No account, no sign-in, nothing to install.

What that does: the record then shows “confirmed by <your clinic>” wherever it appears, in your clinic's name. What it does not do: nothing is changed in your own system, no owner details are sent to you beyond the name already on your file, and VaxCheck never presents itself as the verifier — the confirmation is yours.

A clinic is asked at most once per pet per week, and a link works for 30 days. If you would rather not receive these, reply to any request and we will stop them for your address.

2. A cc address for certificates

Not yet. Per-pet cc addresses are built but not switched on, so there is nothing for you to cc today and we would rather say so than have you send certificates into a mailbox that is not listening. In the meantime, send the certificate to the owner as you always have — they file it themselves, and the record shows the paper you issued alongside the dates. We will say so on this page when the addresses go live.

What we never do, either way: infer a due date your certificate does not print, change anything in your own system, or show your confirmation as anything other than your own statement. A record on VaxCheck says how it was arrived at — typed by the owner, certificate on file, sent by the clinic, confirmed by the clinic — and never says “verified by VaxCheck”.

Nothing here needs an account. If you would like to see what the businesses asking you hold and how it reaches them, the pet-care side explains it; if an owner asks you where their own records live, send them to the owner side, which is free and needs nothing from you.
